A TYPICAL DAY ON OUR UK RETREATS

A typical day on a 4 day retreat

8 am:

The day will often start with a Hatha yoga class with our teacher Victoria. This session will aim to awaken the senses, stretch the body and unravel any tensions so that you’re feeling peaceful, relaxed yet energised. Victoria’s teaching is Hatha yoga, which is enjoyable, light-hearted and open to all levels. The practice is based on postures (asanas), which will encourage strength, flexibility and alignment, breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation to provide deep relaxation for the body and mind.

9.15 am - 10 am:

A healthy buffet style breakfast will be waiting for you following your yoga session.

10.30 am - 12.30 pm:

During the morning and depending on the day, you will either have your pre-scheduled inclusive holistic massage or reflexology treatment, take part in one of the MindPlus Workshops or be able to enjoy free time to take a country walk, sunbathe, swim (depending on venue and time of year), read or snooze. If you have booked an extra beauty/holistic treatment this may be scheduled during the morning.

1 pm - 2 pm:

A tasty and nutritious buffet style lunch will be served.

2.30 pm - 5.30 pm:

During the afternoon you will either enjoy your inclusive Holistic Massage or Reflexology, or free time to take a country walk, sunbathe, swim (depending on venue and time of year), read, snooze, or have a look around the area if you’ve come with transport. If you have booked an extra beauty/holistic treatment this may be scheduled during the afternoon.

6 pm - 6.45 pm:

Guided visualisation/meditation session.

7 pm - 8.30 pm:

A delicious 3 course meal will be served (with wine if you like).

8.30 pm - 10.30 pm:

There will normally be one to two evening activities during each retreat. These will include interesting talks on different subjects, such as healing techniques and alternative/complementary health. If it’s an activity-free evening you can just do what you feel – sit and chat, watch DVDs, relax and read or have an early night and catch up on your sleep.

Please note that the times of activities may be subject to change slightly from retreat to retreat.
